Sorrow to be submitted to horror film festivals

Houston, Texas – FilmsVerite Productions’ debut indie horror film Sorrow will premiere at River Oaks Theatre in Houston, Texas next month. Reviews are coming in, and the first by Modern Horrors calls the film “fantastic” and “incredibly slick.” Things are moving along for writer and director Millie Loredo’s passion project, and she wants to keep the ball rolling by submitting her directorial debut for acceptance into several horror film festivals.

Sorrow follows the story of Mila Sweeney, a forensic psychologist who is kidnapped and tortured by unhinged serial killers. However, she manages to escape and exact revenge against her captors.

Loredo is submitting her film for acceptance into the New York City Horror Film Festival, the Knoxville Horror Film Fest, the Macabre Faire Film Festival, the Chicago Horror Film Festival and the FANtastic Horror Film Festival.

The Knoxville Horror Film fest takes place in October 2015, the New York City Horror Film Festival takes place November, the Macabre Faire Film Festival takes place January 2016, the Chicago Horror Film Festival takes place in September, and the FANtastic Horror Film Festival takes place in October.

Sorrow premiered at River Oaks Theatre in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, April 21, as well as on Amazon Prime and Google Play. Hulu Network will begin streaming the indie horror film mid-May.
